Recuperative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) is an efficient and sustainable air pollution control technology that is widely used in various industries. RTOs are designed to destroy the hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) emitted during industrial processes through thermal oxidation, which involves heating the pollutants to high temperatures (usually above 815¡ãC) and converting them into less harmful compounds such as CO2 and water vapor.

When the polluted air enters the combustion chamber, it is preheated and mixed with fuel (usually natural gas). The mixture is then ignited, and the resulting flame heats up the ceramic heat exchanger. The heat exchanger absorbs the heat from the exhaust gas and transfers it to the incoming polluted air, which is then heated to the required temperature for oxidation. The hot, purified air is then released into the atmosphere, and the cycle repeats.
