- The preheated gas is then directed to a second heat exchange media, where it is cooled and the heat is transferred to the outgoing gas stream.
- The cooled and cleaned gas is then released into the atmosphere.

- Pressure drop: This refers to the resistance that the gas encounters as it passes through the RTO. A high pressure drop can reduce the efficiency of the RTO.
