The ceramic heat transfer media is a critical component of the RTO system. It is typically made of ceramic blocks, saddles or spheres that are packed inside the oxidizer’s combustion chamber. The ceramic media is used to transfer heat from the exhaust gases to the incoming process gas stream. The type and size of the ceramic media used in the system is determined based on the specific needs of the individual application. It is important to note that the ceramic media must be periodically inspected and cleaned to ensure optimal performance of the system.
